To clear my head.
To think about everything.
To think about nothing.
To hear myself breathe.
To go fast.
To slow things down.
These are a few of the many reasons why I run.
Sometimes, when I feel foggy and not in control, I know that running is the one constant in my life. I can just put on my running shoes and go anywhere.
And I know there will come a time when I won’t be able to physically run as far as I want to or as fast as I wish to. And later on there will come a time when I probably won’t be able to run at all.
But, right now, the running is great.
I make time for it even in my busy schedule because it’s my one and only.
I’m my own coach and cheerleader while I run but I know I have others close by. My biggest cheerleader will literally cheer for me over the phone when I’m having a bad day.
These are my mid-week musings.
