It looked like a summer run.
It smelled like a summer run.
It tasted like a summer run.
It felt like a summer run.
Having beautiful sunny Seattle days like the past few sure make observing the rest day difficult.
Slathering sunscreen on your face. Swatting little bugs away so you don’t accidentally swallow them. Squinting while crossing congested intersections because the sun is actually out. And, sweating. Sweating a lot.
It’s time to dust off the tank tops and create my game plan for the summer (AKA, my training plan for the Chicago Marathon).
I am a runner who typically prefers running in frigid weather than the heat but, hey, it’s Seattle, we’re not due for a heat wave this season, right?
Bring on the summer runnin’!
